Wrexham lies in the preserved county
of Clwyd which includes Flintshire, Denbighshire, Wrexham County
Borough, and Conwy County Borough. Located in the northeast corner
of Wales, it is a hilly county with the Berwyn Mountains to the
south, the Clwydian Range to the east and the river valleys of
the Clwyd and Dee. Along the coast are the tourist resorts of
Rhyl, Colwyn Bay and the great fortress town of Conwy, while
other main towns are Wrexham, Denbigh, Mold, Ruabon and Flint. |
