been a destination for a vast number of people from London and
Essex since 1906. This is one of over 1,000 woods across the
UK cared for by the Woodland Trust. Many of the trees in Hainault
Forest are over 300 years old with some in excess of 500 years.

Park is accessible by boat along the River Lee. The William Girling Reservoir is 2
miles west of Woodford Green. It forms part of the Lea Valley
chain of reservoirs supplying water for treatment in the North
