exploring countryside, historic sites. The Lee Valley Regional
Park runs for 26 miles between Ware in Hertfordshire and the
East India Dock Basin by the River Thames. Much of the Park is
accessible by boat along the River Lee.
The William Girling Reservoir
is 2 miles west of Woodford. It forms part of the Lea Valley
chain of reservoirs supplying water for treatment in the North
London area. |

been a destination for a vast number of people from London and
Essex since 1906. This is one of over 1,000 woods across the
UK cared for by the Woodland Trust. Many of the trees in Hainault
Forest are over 300 years old with some in excess of 500 years.

from 1848 to 1856, the former Water House, a substantial Georgian
dwelling of about 1750 which is set in its own extensive grounds
(now Lloyd Park). There are permanent displays of printed, woven
and embroidered fabrics, rugs, carpets, wallpapers, furniture,
stained glass and painted tiles designed by Morris himself and
