there is a visitor centre at Middleton Top,- providing information,
maps, walk leaflets, books, gifts and refreshments. You will
find a car park, toilets & cycle hire centre. Being next
to the trail you can hire a suitable bike to explore the beautiful
countryside of Derbyshire and the Peak District. The trail is
about 20 miles long. |

Wirksworth
- Other information - The Heritage Centre,
housed in a converted former silk and velvet mill, in Crown Yard
is an ideal place to begin to explore Wirksworth and wander round
the Town Hall. Narrow alleys climb the hillside away from the
market place to groups of cottages clustered around tiny yards.
