Colemere
Countryside Heritage Site is the location of one of Shropshires
most beautiful meres which attracts Snipe, Curlew, Goldeneye,
and Pochard. The site is designated as a Local Nature Reserve.
Colemere sailing club uses the mere at various times. They have
a beautiful clubhouse overlooking the Mere which contains changing
rooms and showers, a kitchen and a club room. Membership Secretary

Cholmondeley Castle Gardens, Chlomondeley,
Malpas SY14 8AH - Tel: 01829 720 383. Extensive ornamental gardens
dominated by a romantic Gothic Castle, built in 1801 of local
sandstone, with a beautiful Temple Water Garden, Rose Garden
and many mixed borders. The gardens at Cholmondeley Castle were
originally laid out when the 1st Marquess of Cholmondeley built
the castle between 1801 and 1804. About 6 miles north of Whitchurch. |
