Wirral
Tramway & Wirral Transport Museum, 1 Taylor Street, Birkenhead,
CH41 1BG. Tel: 0151 647 2128. Birkenhead was the first place
in Europe to adopt a street tramway, which ceased in 1937. The
trams were brought back to life in 1995, making a short journey
from Woodside to the Wirral Transport Museum. In addition to
trams, the museum houses a collection of buses, cars and motorbikes.
