Ridings Shopping Centre is situated in the heart of the city.
Wakefield is home to Europe's largest shopping village, the Freeport,
and the new Xscape development, with its indoor real snow ski
slopes, ice climbing wall, multiplex cinema, bowling alley, shops
and restaurants. Wakefield Wildcats is the city's rugby league
