Windsor Castle ates back to the time of William the Conqueror.
The castle is still used by royalty, in fact it is one of the
British monarchs principal English residences. The towers and
battlements of the Castle dominate the skyline of Windsor. Depending
on opening times, visitors can see the State Apartments, St George’s
Chapel, Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, the Castle Exhibition
the exhibition in the Drawings Gallery and the semi-state rooms.

Virginia Water is about 26 miles from Charing Cross,
Westminster, generally accepted as the place for measuring the
distance to and from London. Virginia Water is located at the
south end of Windsor Great Park, near Ascot. The Water is a large
lake, around which there is a pleasant walk. Along the way you
will come across many curiosities, including a 100 foot totem
pole, an artificial waterfall, an obelisk raised by George II,
and part of a ruined city imported from North Africa. Many of
the houses Virginia Water are large detached homes situated on
the private Wentworth Estate close to the famous Wentworth Golf
Club. Wentworth is also home to the headquarters of the PGA European
Tour.
