Leckmelm
Shrubbery and Arboretum, Little Leckmelm, Lochbroom, Ullapool.
A 10 acres woodland garden, planted in 1870 and restored in 1984.
It is full of splendid and rare trees, rhododendrons, azaleas
and shrubs. Warmed by the Gulf Stream, this tranquil woodland
setting has an alpine garden and paths to the sea. About 4 miles
south of Ullapool. |

Ullapool
is situated on Loch Broom and only 55 miles from Inverness, Ullapool
is the largest settlement in Wester Ross. It was purpose built
as a herring station to a Thomas Telford design in 1788. It is
an excellent base from which to explore the Northwest Highlands.
