country house carefully restored over the last few years to the
highest standards.

part of Tuscany bordering the famous Chianti area and just a
few miles from the main highway from Milan to Rome.

- We are located in a central
position making it a convenient base to visit towns of great
importance in the region: Florence (25km), Siena (50km), Arezzo
(54km), Volterra (98km), San Gimignano (75km), Castellina in
Chianti (38km), Certaldo (65km) and many other beautiful medieval
Tuscan villages.

- I Gelsi is just 3km from the
historical centre of Figline Valdarno, in the town you will be
able to find shops, boutiques, chemists, banks, pubs, supermarkets
and restaurants.

- Trains to Florence Central
Station (Santa Maria Novella) depart from Figline Valdarno every
half hour with a travel time of less than twenty minutes.
- The A1 Motorway is just 10km
from the house.

(Sunflower):

- This apartment is Ideal for
a family of 4-5 persons on two floors.
Ground floor – Dining area with kitchen, a double bedroom
and a shower room.
First floor – Spiral staircase leading to a gallery with
small twin/triple bedroom.

- (2) Il Forno
(The Wood Oven):
- This apartment was the original
‘farmer’s’ kitchen, the original wood oven is
still present.
- Ideal for a family of 4-5 persons.
Ground floor – Dining/ living area with kitchen, staircase
leading to first floor.
First Floor - Two bedrooms and one shower room
- Double bedroom with four poster
bed (space for an additional bed available).
- Twin bedroom.

- (3) Rosa Canina
(Wild Rose):
- This first floor apartment
is ideal for 2 couples or family of 4 persons on the first floor.
First Floor - Dining/living area with kitchen, one double bedroom,
one twin bedroom and a shower room.

- (4) Il Frantoio
(The Olive Oil Press):
- This part of the house was
originally used to press the olives from the land to make extra
virgin olive oil.
Ideal for a family of 4 persons. It has now been carefully restored
to preserve the original feel.
Ground Floor - Dining/Living area with corner kitchen and shower
room. One double and one twin bedroom with the space for an additional
bed/cot if required.

- (5) Il Fienile
(The Hay loft):
- This apartment was the original
fienile, it is a separate building adjacent to the main house.
Studio apartment (open plan) - Ideal for a couple or family of
2-3 persons. It consists of dining area with kitchenette, sleeping
area and shower room. It can also can be transformed into a meeting
room or a large dining room to host up to 20 guests. It has a
beautiful large terrace with a breathtaking view of Pratomagno.

- Each Apartment has a TV, the
apartments are furnished and fully equipped in order to assure
a most comfortable stay.

- All kitchens have marble-based
work tops, fridge with small freezer and gas hob. Also provided
are the dishes, glasses, cups, cutlery and

- Each shower room is tastefully
furnished with marble flooring, toilet, bidet and spacious showers.

- All apartments have private
terraces, perfect for eating al-fresco.

also located outside the house. Why not grill the famous “Bistecca
alla Fiorentina” (Florentine Steak) as cooked in the traditional
Tuscan way.

(The Pigsty) Laundry Room:

- The old “Porcile has been
restored and transformed into a communal Laundry area available
for all guests.

- The guests have the use of
the swimming pool with sun loungers and chairs (pool area 14x7mtrs)
