TroonWelcome to our page of information, attractions and places of interest around Troon. The Troon hotels listed below are either in the town or we have given a rough guide as to how far they are from Troon. From Troon you can explore the beautiful lochs & mountains of Scotland. We hope you enjoy your stay and find your ideal accommodation.

Troon has a natural harbour that was realised by early seafarers along the west coast. Docks were added later and by the end of the 1800's Troon was among the top ten coal ports in Britain. A shipyard was opened in the town in 1860, and a lifeboat station arrived in 1871. In 2002 SeaCat moved the Scottish terminal for its fast ferries to Ireland from Stranraer to Troon and these sleek vessels are now a regular sight in the harbour here. Troon boasts two wide beaches backed by promenades and is well known for its championship golf course. Also see Troon.
