The Bridgwater & Taunton Canal. The Bridgwater
& Taunton Canal is 14½ miles long, with the two towns
at each end. In between it runs through the rolling countryside
of the Somersetl owlands and also along the Tone Valley. A diversity
of rare birds and plants thrive along the route. The towpath,
together with public rights of way complete the route between
Bridgwater and Taunton. Starts
in the centre of Taunton. |
