Tattershall Castle was built by the 3rd Lord Cromwell and restored in this century, and is a magnificent medieval red brick tower, a landmark of the Fens which can be seen for miles around. This 14th century fortified house, now in the care of the National Trust, is a splendid example of medieval brick building. Tattershall has the country's largest and oldest one-handed clock.
