in the town include Tain Tolbooth and St Duthus Collegiate Church.
Tain Tolbooth is a massive and imposing tower that dominates
the centre of the town. It was first built in 1630 to house court
offices and a jail, and to collect tolls and taxes from traders.
Its clock faces were added in 1877. |
