Swaffham attractions

		Swaffham is in Norfolk, a low-lying county in East Anglia with Lincolnshire to the west, Cambridgeshire to the west and southwest, and Suffolk to the south. The coast of north Norfolk is a dramatic stretch of saltmarshes, vast sandy beaches and pretty coastal villages. The Norfolk Broads are a popular holiday area situated in the triangle of Norwich, Lowestoft and Sea Palling, where 30 "broads" provide miles of navigable waterways. Norwich is a city steeped in history with a wealth of museums, medieval churches, a cathedral and castle, and of course, excellent shopping!

	Norfolk Rural Life Museum, Gressenhall, Dereham, Norfolk. The museum consists of a large the 18 century workhouse building, with other buildings in the grounds recreating a family cottage, two shops, a blacksmith's and a school. Tel: 01362 860563. About 9 miles north east of Swaffham.
	Thetford Forest Park, located on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk. Designated a Forest Park by the Forestry Commission in May 1990, Thetford Forest attracts over 1.5 million visitors each year. It hasa large population of hares, rabbits, gamebirds and deer. It has become popular with mountain bike enthusiasts, both families and experienced riders enjoy the trails. Location: About 10 miles south of Swaffham.
