		Sutton on Sea is in the county of Lincolnshire, a rural area of rolling countryside extending to the coast with long sweeping beaches and popular seaside resorts. There are quaint country market towns, imposing medieval churches, castles and appealing villages. Lincoln itself is the region's outstanding attraction, its cathedral is the third largest church in England. The flat extensive fenlands of Lincolnshire are home to one of the last areas in the country to rely on wind power in its mills, where the remains of more than 130 windmills can be found. 	Alford Windmill, The Five Sailed Windmill, East Street, Alford, Lincolnshire LN13 9EQ. Tel: 01507 462136. One of England’s finest working windmills, milling organic flours. The six-storey windmill has a Tea Room and garden, wholefood shop, restored bakery oven and antiques in the old Engine House. (Photo right). About 5 miles southwest of Sutton on Sea.
	Claythorpe Water Mill and Wildfowl Gardens, Aby, Nr. Alford, Lincolnshire. LN13 ODU. Tel: 01507 450687. Home to over 500 birds from exotic waterfowl, ducks, geese and swans, to crowned cranes, storks and ibis. There are peacocks and pheasants, cockerels,wallabies, goats and a miniature Shetland pony. Bygone Exhibit Area, Ye Olde Bakery Shop Tableaux, an Enchanted Fairy Tale Woods, and little Country Fare and Gift Shops. About 9 miles southwest of Sutton on Sea.
