Staplehurst in Kent lies on the A229 Maidstone to Hawkhurst
road, this stretch is Roman and lead from Beauport near Battle
to Rochester. Staplehurst's main role is as a commuter village
and has a wide range of local shops and facilities. The Dover
to London train service passes through Staplehurst and provides
a fast and regular service to the Capital. Staplehurst church
stands on a hill, surrounded by black and white timber framed
houses, this is the oldest part of the village and is the most
picturesque. |

East Sussex steam Railway and Leisure Centre are both a short
distance away. Ideal for both sightseeing and shopping are the
historic towns of Tunbridge Wells, the Cathedral city of Canterbury

in the grounds of Pound Hill Farm - a traditional Kent farmhouse.
A gloriously peaceful spot surrounded by unspoilt countryside,
there are many lovely walks in the vicinity. The small village
of Frittenden has a popular pub and small shop and is ideally
located for exploring the many attractions in the High Weald
of Kent - Sissinghurst Castle Gardens is a pleasant 2 mile walk.
The barn has been converted to a very high standard providing
exceptional comfort for two guests. The full height of the barn
creates a wonderfully spacious living area with solid wood floors
and double doors to a paved terrace and garden. Orginal beams
have been retained and in one corner is a very effective woodburner.
