The Southwell hotels listed below are either
in the town or we have given a rough guide as to how far they
are from Southwell. We hope you enjoy your stay and find your
ideal accommodation.
The pretty town of Southwell is one
of the hidden gems of Nottinghamshire. It is dominated by its
historic Minster which dates back to the 12th century, with its
majestic Norman nave and glorious 13th-century chapter house.
At the other end of the town is Burgage Green and Burbage Manor
where young Byron stayed with his mother in the early part of
the 19th century. Southwell is also famed for being the origin
of the Bramley Apple and there is a pub named after it in the
town. Southwell has its own excellent all-weather racetrack.
