- George IV
-
- George is a period townhouse offering
fantastic sea views across one of Brighton's finest squares.
Sue and Steve are a period twosome providing a friendly and informal
atmosphere.
-
- All three of us are in central
Brighton - right by the shops, the Lanes and the conference facilities
and directly opposite the ever-interesting West Pier. There are
dozens of restaurants within a minute's walk.
-
- We have wonderful sea-view rooms,
all beautifully decorated and extremely spacious, including a
balcony room which takes everyone's breath away.
- The rooms at the back are really
nice too.
-
- The AA made a point of complimenting
our housekeeping on their last visit so the rooms are pretty
spotless, as well as being en-suite. We're a smoke-free zone
and there's an underground car park just across the road.

 |
 |
- Brighton, of course, is one of
England's most cosmopolitan, bohemian and vibrant towns and we
wouldn't swap it for anywhere else.
-
- Back to George. We took over the
old fellow in March 2005 and have done him out in a manner of
which, we hope, he would have approved. Not sure what he would
have made of the jukebox in the lounge though.
-
- There are books, newspapers and
board games for guests who prefer quieter entertainment.
-
- The rooms have TVs with DVD or
VHS - a selection of DVDs and videos is available to borrow.
- Finally, there's
internet access in the reception if you want to catch up on emails.
|
- The rooms
Seven double or triple rooms are available, four of which have
stupendous views of the sea and pier.
-
- These include a stunning balcony
room for those who really want to spoil themselves. We also have
a large single room.
-
- All rooms are en-suite and have
tea- and coffee-making facilities. Fresh milk can be provided
on request.
|
 |
 |
- The rates
Sea-view doubles are between £80 and £105 per room.
Rooms at the back are between £60 and £85. The balcony
room is from £90 to £120 and the single room is between
£40 and £50. The sea-view triple is from £100
to £150. (The lower rates apply at quieter times.)
-
- We ask that you
book for two nights at weekends and three at bank holidays -
so many people want to do so that we have to accommodate them.
-
- If you can only stay for one night
then please ring us the evening before and we'll do our best
to help.
-
- A choice of continental breakfasts
is available from £4.50 per person.
|
- Checking in (and
out)
Your room will be ready from 3.00 pm - you are welcome to drop
off your luggage if you arrive earlier.
- Check out is at 11 am.
-
- Parking
An underground NCP car park is opposite the hotel, in Regency
Square. Some street parking is available around the square, limited
to two hours during the day.
-
- Children of all ages are welcome
but we dont cater for pets, much though we love them.
|
 |
 |
- Cancellations
We ask for credit card details when you book but won't debit
anything unless you cancel.
-
- We make no charge if you cancel
at least a week before you're due to arrive. If you cancel between
one and seven days beforehand then a charge of 50% of the first
night room rate (for each room booked) applies. If you give us
less than 24 hours' notice we'll charge the full amount for the
full duration booked.
