North Wales is dominated
by the beautiful Snowdonia Mountains, which loom over the coastline.

mainly to climb these spectacular
hills with Snowdon at 3558', while others come for the glorious
beaches such as Barmouth, Llandudno and Abersoch.
To the west in the remote
Llyn Peninsula, an area of outstanding beauty, and to the north
is the island of Anglesey with the world's longest placename,
the village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.

include the magnificent castles built by Edward I at Conwy, Harlech,
Caernarfon and Beaumaris.

miles from Porthmadog is Portmeirion - a privateItalianate village created by the Welsh architect
Sir Clough Williams - Ellis.
