Windsor Castle dates back to the time of William the Conqueror.
The castle is still used by royalty, in fact it is one of the
British monarchs principal English residences. The towers and
battlements of the Castle dominate the skyline of Windsor. Depending
on opening times, visitors can see the State Apartments, St Georges
Chapel, Queen Marys Dolls House, the Castle Exhibition
the exhibition in the Drawings Gallery and the semi-state rooms.

a figure eight slightly more than a mile and a half in extent,
the final five furlongs of which is virtually straight. Royal
Windsor Racecourse has excellent access to most major motorway
networks and rail services. Take advantage of our unique setting
by taking a riverboat from the centre of Windsor straight to

The Colne Valley provides the first significant area of countryside
to the west of London. Farmland, woodland and water, with fifty
miles of river and canal and over forty lakes. It provides employment
and homes for many people. It is also regionally important for
recreation and internationally important for wildlife. Much of
the land is privately owned, however, large areas are open to

Grand Union Canal. The Grand Union Canal main
line covers the 137 miles from London and Birmingham. Branches
take it to places such as Slough, Leicester, Wendover, Aylesbury
and Northampton. One end of the Canal is at Brentford on the
River Thames, the other end at Bordesley Junction in the centre
of Birmingham. At Bordesley it divides to join up with other
canals. Branch terminates
