Sligo Town is the largest town in the
North West of Ireland, standing at the mouth of the Garavogue
River between Lough Gill and the Atlantic Ocean. To the south
of Sligo lie the Ox Mountains and Knocknarea Mountain with Queen
Mauve's Cairn dominating the skyline to the West. |
