Isles - Ferries - There is an inter-island
ferry service linking the larger islands with the Shetland Mainland.
Car ferries to Bressay, Whalsay, Yell, Unst, Fetlar and Skerries.
Passenger ferries to Papa Stour, Foula and Fair Isle. Car ferries sail from Aberdeen to
Shetland's Lerwick Ferry Terminal. There
are many Boat Trips on offer - please see www.cycharters.co.uk.
www.mousaboattrips.co.uk. www.muckleflugga.co.uk. The main ferry service is from Aberdeen
on the mainland to the island port of Lerwick. A service from
Stromness (Orkney) to Lerwick is also available. During the summer
months there are also services linking Shetland with Norway and
the Faroe Islands. Shetland Islands Council operates an inter-island
car ferry service. |
