Seaford attractions

		From Seaford the rural and coastal county of Sussex can be accessed. The county is now divided into East and West Sussex and is bounded on the north by Surrey, east by Kent, south by the English Channel, and west by Hampshire. It is an area with a fertile coastal plain along which are scattered numerous resort towns including Hastings, Bexhill, Eastbourne, Seaford, Brighton, Shoreham-by-Sea, Worthing, Littlehampton and Bognor. The South Downs Way runs along the grassy ridge of the South Downs, giving splendid views over the countryside and the coast over the chalk cliffs of Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters.

The Seven Sisters Sheep Centre has one of the largest collections of sheep in the world with over 40 different breeds of sheep. Don't forget to visit the farm especially at lambing time (in March - April) and in summer to see the sheep being milked. Other young farm animals including pigs, goats, rabbits and chicks. www.sheepcentre.co.uk. About 4 miles east of Seaford.

	Filching Manor Motor Museum, Jevington Road, Wannock, Nr Polegate, East Sussex, BN26 5QA. Tel: 01323 487838. fifteenth-century Wealden hall-house include a 1907 Corbin 'Vanderbilt Cup' racer, Sir Malcolm Campbell's 'Bluebird' speedboat, Alfa Romeos and Bugattis. Toilets, Parking, Cafe, Souvenir shop, Access for the disabled. The museum also has a number of aeronautical exhibits. Location: About 5 miles east of Seaford.

	Newhaven Fort, Newhaven, East Sussex, BN9 9DS, Tel: 01273 517622. An exciting and varied day out at this award winning attraction. The massive walls, ramparts, tunnels and gun emplacements all fire the imagination and help visitors experience what life was like living in a Victorian Fortress. www.newhavenfort.org.uk.
