The Rye hotels listed below are either in the
town or we have given a rough guide as to how far they are from
Rye. We hope you enjoy your stay and find your ideal accommodation.
The little town of Rye is perched
on a sandstone hill at the estuary of the river Rother, overlooking
the Romney Marches. It has a 12th century church, Augustinian
Friary (the Old Monastery), Rye Castle with its Ypres Tower and
the old town wall, originally built to protect the town from
the French. The town has not changed too much over time. Handsome
Georgian buildings rub shoulders with half timbered Tudor houses
in the cobbled streets, unchanged for hundreds of years. There
are antique shops, art galleries, book shops, potteries, splendid
old inns and delightful tea shops. Also see Rye
& Rye attractions. If
you are in the right town but cannot find the accommodation you
want on this page, you might consider bed
and breakfast in Rye or self catering
accommodation in Rye
