Rhayader is a busy and historic market town, the first town on the banks of the River Wye and an important centre for the farming community with its flourishing livestock market. Rhayader is the ideal base for outdoor activities such as bird-watching, mountain biking, pony trekking, walking, caravanning and fishing. Hides are suitable for wheelchair access and viewing. Situated just off the A470 from Builth Wells to Rhayader. At Welsh Royal Crystal visitors can enjoy a tour of the manufacturing process which features glass blowing, cutting and decoration of the glass shape and final polishing.
