It is set 700ft above sea level in the beautiful Upper Wye Valley, with hills rising to over 1500feet. Rhayader is a busy and historic market town, the first town on the banks of the River Wye and an important centre for the farming community with its flourishing livestock market. Rhayader is the ideal base for outdoor activities such as bird-watching, mountain biking, pony trekking, walking, caravanning and fishing.
