Travel Information Ramsey, capital of the north, is the main town in the north of the Isle of Man and is known as the island's agriculture town. There is a harbour still in daily use and a beach for the sun seekers, as Ramsey boasts the most sunny spot on the island.

Roads Ramsey - Travel by road - The Isle of Man is only 30 miles long and about 10 miles wide. Most of the roads radiate out from the main towns of Douglas, Ramsey. Castletown and Port Erin. There is very little dual carriageway. The A1 road connects east to west between Douglas and Peel.

Other information Ramsey - Other information - Ramsey is the only town to boast an iron pier, which was built in 1886 reaching into Ramsey Bay. Mooragh Park, Ramsey's main attraction for visitors, was created a hundred years ago out of the old river bed and mud flats. There is a 12 acre lake for sailing and rowing boats.
