Pwllheli sits on the southern edge of the Llyn Peninsula, a traditional seaside town. Pwllheli is the main market town of the Llyn peninsula in the administrative county of Gwynedd, traditional county of Caernarfonshire. Much of the Llyn Peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and Pwllheli is an ideal base to explore this area, as well as nearby Snowdonia, Anglesey and the western coast of Wales. Attractions Penarth Fawr Medieval House, Chwilog, Pwllheli, Gwynedd LL53 6PR - Tel: 01766 810880. Penarth Fawr is a unique example of the home of the Welsh gentry of the 15th century. Built as a hall-house with local stones and timber in the 1450s. Restored in 1937 it now displays a wealth of original features. About 3 miles northeast of Pwllheli.

A visit to Bodvel Hall means a fun day out for the family, with an Animal Farmyard, Birds of Prey, Golf Putting, Kiddies Indoor Play Area, Horseshoe Quoits, Quad Track, Natyre Walks, Fishing, Riverside Coffee-shop and a Picnic Area. . About 3 miles west of Pwllheli.

Highgate has been recreated as it was when Lloyd George lived there between 1864-1880 as well as his uncle's shoemaking workshop. You can also enjoy the Victorian cottage garden.
