Welcome to our page of accommodation in Porthmadog!
Porthmadog was built primarily as a harbour to export Welsh slate
across the world that was bought down from Blaenau Ffestiniog
by train, the wonderful Ffestiniog
Railway. It is a busy town located on the coast. The harbour
area preserves the feel of the old town, with its narrow streets
and harbour views. Porthmadog has two steam railways, offers
a good variety of general and specialist shops, a Post Office
and several banks, pubs, restaurants,
and take-aways. The Italianate folly of Portmeirion
is 2 miles east of the town. |
