	Portmeirion, Penrhyndeudraeth, Gwynedd LL48 6ET- Tel: 01766 770000. This unique Italianate seaside village was built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis from 1925-72, and made famous by TV series "The Prisoner". It is surrounded by the lovely Gwyllt woodland gardens containing rare Himalayan flowering trees and other exotics. About 3 miles east of Porthmadog.
	Ffestiniog Railway, Harbour Station, Porthmadog Tel: 01766 512340. Little steam-hauled narrow- gauge trains run a 13 1/2 mile main line in miniature from the coastline at Porthmadog into the mountains at Blaenau Ffestiniog. Location: On the outskirts of Porthmadog.
	The Lloyd George Museum, Llanystumdwy, Criccieth, Gwynedd LL52 0SH - Tel: 01766 522071. Discover the life and times of David Lloyd George in the Museum and Highgate, his boyhood home. Highgate has been recreated as it was when Lloyd George lived there between 1864-1880 as well as his uncle's shoemaking workshop. You can also enjoy the Victorian cottage garden. About 6 miles west of Porthmadog.
	Brynkir Woollen Factory, Golan, Garndolbenmaen, Gwynedd LL51 9YU. Tel: 01766 530236. A long-established full working woollen mill with shop, where visitors can view the entire manufacturing process from raw wool to the finished product. About 4 miles north of Porthmadog.
