The Parish of Chester contains the two
most historic churches in Chester, St John's, the original Cathedral
of Chester and St Peter's, the Guild Church of the City. St John's
lies outside the city walls on a cliff above the north bank of
the River Dee and is a Grade I listed building. St Peter's, also
