		Peterborough lies in the county of Cambridgeshire, bordering Lincolnshire to the north, Norfolk to the northeast, Suffolk to the east, Essex and Hertfordshire to the south, and Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire to the west. The flat distinctive landscape of the Cambridgeshire fens is only interrupted by an occasional church spire or a solitary windmill, while the rich peat soil yealds a harvest of cereals, root crops, fruit and bulbs.

Peterborough Museum has an archaeology gallery which explores the early history of the area from prehistory up until the Middle Ages. Features a collection of Artwork which is regularly on display or can even be hired. Lift to all floors and galleries, public toilets, baby-changing facilities and disabled toilets. Location: In the centre of Peterborough.
	Peterborough Cathedral. Described as "The most beautiful Norman Cathedral in England". Two queens were buried in the Cathedral during the Tudor period. Katherine of Aragon’s grave is in the North Aisle near the High Altar, whilst Mary Queen of Scots was buried on the opposite side of the altar, though her grave is now empty (she was re-buried in Westminster in 1612). www.peterborough-cathedral.org.uk. 	Hamerton Zoo Park, Hamerton, Nr Sawtry, Cambs, PE28 5RE. Tel: 01832 293362. In 2006 we've improved and enlarged the animal collection and facilities. Our new and unique system of walkways will be expanded and will eventually serve the whole park.
