- Bakewell is an ancient town
in the centre of the Peak District National Park, founded in
Saxon times. It is the home of the famous Bakewell Pudding.

of shops catering for all tastes, from antiques to anoraks and
from books to blue john, a local mineral unique to the area.
Numerous pubs, cafes and restaurants fill the town.
