- Tideswell is a historic and
bustling village whose origins can be traced back to the 7th
Century. Its fine church is known affectionately as the 'Cathedral
of the Peak'.

- Tideswell is a regular winner
of the Derbyshire Best Kept Village Award and the Britain in
Bloom Village Award and is a Conservation Village. It is famous
for its Well Dressings, pictures made from seeds and petals.

- It lies at the heart of the
Peak District National Park and with Monsal Dale and Millars
Dale nearby is an ideal base for walking and for the many Peak
District attractions.

- It has a fine range of local
shops, pubs, tearooms and restaurants which specialise in fresh
local produce.

- The market towns of Bakewell
and Buxton are close at hand as is Chatsworth house. Many episodes
of Peak Practice have been filmed locally.

- Bluebell Cottage is a pretty
double fronted 17th Century stone cottage which was formerly
a Village Inn. It has been fully refurbished to a high standard
and many original features and beams have been retained. It nestles
in a quiet street in the centre of Tideswell close to shops,
tearooms and pubs.

- The accommodation

- An inviting beamed sitting
room with plenty of comfortable seating around a stone fireplace
with logburner. There is a TV and video, and books, puzzles and
videos are at hand to make you feel at home.
The oak refectory dining table seats 8 comfortably.

- The kitchen is extremely well
equipped with plenty of crockery, glassware and utensils for
your stay.

- There is a washer/dryer, Bosch
double oven and hob,dishwasher, microwave, ironing facilities
and a fridge with icebox.
The warm bathroom has bath with shower over, lighted mirror with
shaver point,WC and handbasin.
It's child friendly with travel cot and high chair and childrens
books and videos

- There are three
bedrooms
- The family room has a double
bed and steep steps leading to a galleried sleeping area in the
eaves with a second double bed. This room has a small TV and
an en-suite shower room with lighted mirror with shaver point
WC and handbasin.

- The second bedroom has a double
bed and garden views.

- The spacious third bedroom
has twin beds.

- There's also a sofa bed in
the sitting room which sleeps an extra person.
The Cottage is fully gas centrally heated.
All rooms are tastefully furnished with good quality furniture
and antiques.
The walled garden is gated and has a small wildlife pond, paved
areas, flower beds and some seating.
- The stone outbuilding is ideal
for storing bikes.

- A public footpath lies between
the cottage and garden and leads within minutes to lovely walks
in the glorious countryside.
Tariff includes linen, a supply of fluffy towels, central heating
and a supply of fuel for the logburner.

Car parking is available on the street outside the cottage or
there are several off road free village car parks within a few
minutes walk.
