- Warren Carr Barn
-
- Warren Carr Barn is a range of
beautiful old 18th century farm buildings/barns sympathetically
restored by the present owner, Cherry, over the past 14 years.
-
- They are full of natural character
with exposed original stonework and timbers, and are idyllically
set in rambling gardens (which will delight the keen gardener),
directly adjoining glorious open countryside in the peaceful
hamlet of Warren Carr which nestles just below Stanton Moor and
the Druids Nine Ladies Stone Circle, and just 4½ miles
from the lovely old market town of Bakewell and 4 miles from
Matlock.
|
 |
 |
- Situated only 20 minutes from
Chesterfield and 40 minutes from Sheffield, Warren Carr Barn
is centrally located in the Peak District and is the ideal base
for walking and touring the beautiful dales and peaks.
-
- The imposing country houses of
Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are only 10 minutes away and Ladybower
Reservoir and Castleton are 35 minutes away.
|
- You will be made extremely welcome
in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere and you have the choice
of two luxurious, tastefully decorated double bedrooms, furnished
with antiques.
-
- A beautiful four poster bed and
en-suite shower room, or a Victorian brass and iron bed and huge
private bathroom with bath and shower providing high class, extremely
comfortable accommodation.
- A television, tea and coffee making
facilities, mini bar fridge, hairdryer and radio clock alarm
are also provided in your room.
-
- If available and you would like
a little more space, you can stay in the tastefully converted
original old Hayloft
with double bedroom, en suite shower and its own sitting room
and kitchen area and wonderful views.

 |
- Warren Carr Barn has been awarded
four diamonds and a Silver Award under the new classification
scheme by the Heart of England Tourist Board and is also the
ideal business person's peaceful and relaxing stop over. There
are numerous local country pubs and restaurants where you can
enjoy an evening meal.
-
- Wildlife abounds and we frequently
have visiting deer, foxes and badgers in the field while pheasants,
hedgehogs and numerous birds visit the gardens. Chickens roam
the field supplying lovely free range eggs with that long forgotten
