Oban Travel Information

Oban is the largest port in the west
of Scotland, and the main ferry terminus for the Hebrides. Oban
is easily reached from Central Scotland by taking the A82 which
skirts the west side of Loch Lomond, if you are travelling from
Glasgow. Caledonian MacBrayne operate an extensive ferry service
from Oban. |

Oban to
Castlebay (Barra) Ferry - Barra is only
5 miles across by 8 miles long. Oban to Coll (Coll) Ferry - Coll
is known for lobster fishing and lobster farming. Ideal for birdwatchers
& nature lovers. RSPB reserve. Oban - Colonsay Ferry. Around
one hundred people live on the island of Colonsay which is only
eight miles in length. Oban
- Lismore Ferry. The crossing to the island
of Lismore takes 50 minutes.
Oban - Craignure (Mull) Ferry - Mull has
a wide range of wildlife including the Golden Eagle. Oban - Tiree Ferry - Tiree is ideal for walking and cycling, golf and fishing. |
