- Streonshalh
-
- Streonshalh B&B is nestled
atop the cliffs of Robin Hood's Bay, situated in the dramatic
and rugged scenery of the North Yorkshire coastline.
-
- Robin Hoods Bay is probably one
of the most picturesque fishing villages in the country.
-
- The village is set amongst a network
of steeply sloping streets, steps and alleyways and retains a
strong historic link with the sea, reminiscent of days gone by
with fishermen in small boats and smugglers dodging the excise
men.

 |
- The origins of the name are unknown
but there are many speculations.
-
- The name does not appear in any
records until the sixteenth century, although it is sometimes
known as 'Baytown'.
-
- A number of local shops, cafes,
public houses and tennis courts, plus bowling green are available
to the visitor.
|
- Located 5 miles south of Whitby,
Robin Hoods Bay hosts many walkers as the Coast to Coast walk
finishes in the village.
-
- Heartbeat country
is a short drive from the village, as are other attractions such
as the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway.
