Harrogate, York, the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales.

- Junction 47 of the A1(M), between
Wetherby and Boroughbridge, is just 2 minutes drive away, and
makes a convenient stop-over whether travelling north or south,
or visiting Allerton Castle for a wedding.

- This is a good centre for walking,
cycling, touring, birdwatching, golf and racing.

- There are 7 race courses within
easy reach, including York which will be hosting Ascot in June
2005.

- Harrogate is about 8 miles away,
and has a conference centre, and the Great Yorkshire Showground
where many events and exhibitions are held including the Spring
and Autumn Flower Shows, and the Great Yorkshire Show in July.
