Newmarket Suffolk is located in the heart of East Anglia.
Newmarket is famous as the Headquarters and home of British racing
and today there are over 2,500 horses in training within its
boundaries. This pretty market town boasts two well-kept racetracks
as well as many stud farms, including the most prestigious of
all, The National Stud. The National Horseracing Museum is next
to the Jockey Club on the High Street. Newmarket is an ideal
location for a quiet break away from town life. Cycling is especially
popular thanks to the flatness of the fen’s landscape and
there are many well guided cycle paths through some of the most
scenic areas. Newmarket is approximately 10 miles from Cambridge
and 10 miles from Bury St Edmunds.
