Welcome to our page of bed and breakfast in Newent!
Newent is one of the most attractive towns in the Forest
of Dean area. It is a thriving, unspoilt market town with a wide
range of attractions. Many of the buildings date from the 13th
century, and centrepiece of the town is the Old Market Hall,
built in 1668. The area around Newent has long been famous for
its wild daffoldils which grow naturally in the woods and meadows
around the town. The Shambles (photo) is a delightful museum
of Victorian life, set out as a complete town of shops, cottages,
and houses in a maze of cobbled streets and alleyways with even
a tiny chapel and cottage garden, all recreating the life and
atmosphere as it would have been in Victorian times. |
