Alsace lies at the northeast frontier of France, bordered
by the Rhine between the mountains of the Vosges and the Black
Forest in Germany. It is an area of magnificent forests, quaint
villages, the Route de Vin vineyards and splendid castles. It
has its own strong identity with local traditions, costumes and
dialects. The capital Strasbourg is a cosmopolitan city with
a 16th century centre. |
