Neston holds a colourful
outdoor market with 70 stalls located in the town centre. Market
Days: Every Friday (except Good Friday). Neston is a small residential
town situated in South Wirral, Cheshire. Neston is a former mining
town and was once a major port before being moved to the nearby
town of Parkgate. One of the main local attractions is Ness Botanic
Gardens (photo), created by the Liverpool cotton merchant Arthur
Kilpin Bulley in 1898, when he laid the foundations of one of
the major botanic gardens in the United Kingdom. Neston has a
railway station on the Bidston to Wrexham line.
