Moreton is a small town on the north coast of the Wirral Peninsula. Leasowe Lighthouse was built in 1763 and is the oldest lighthouse in England. Christ Church in Moreton was built in 1863 and Moreton railway station was opened in 1866. During the 1900's Moreton was known as a place for a holiday or a place to live thanks to its fresh air and clean sea.
