March is a market town in the county of Cambridgeshire, situated on the banks of the Nene. The Town Hall, situated on the Market Place, was erected in 1900. March Museum is located on the High Street, outdoor exhibits include a reconstructed Fenland cottage and privy. At one time shipping on the River Nene provided the basis of the town's trade, but this declined with coming of the railway in the 19th century.
