Book of 1086. Today it has good communications, with the A6 Trunk
Road passing through, and being close to J23 of the M1. The Midland
Main Line runs frequent rail services through the town from London
St Pancras to Sheffield. East Midlands Airport is 10 miles north
of Loughborough. The town has a pedestrianised area, and also
holds a market on Thursdays and Saturdays. Loughborough also
