 Llantwit Major lies in Glamorgan, now represented
by the three preserved counties of West Glamorgan, Mid Glamorgan
and South Glamorgan in South Wales. The county falls into several
distinct regions with the industrial valleys, the agricultural
Vale of Glamorgan, and the very scenic Gower peninsula. The south
of the county lies on the Bristol Channel and extends west to
Carmarthen Bay. Attractions in the region include historic castles
to explore, the rich culture and heritage of the South Wales
Valleys, stunning scenery in the Brecon Beacons and Vale of Usk,
breathtaking walks along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast and the
