		From Lambourn you can explore the county of Berkshire, often referred to as the Royal County of Berkshire as Windsor Castle lies within its boundaries. 	The internationally known Uffington White Horse can been seen for miles away. The figure has remained clear of turf throughout its long existence, except for being covered as a precaution, during the Second World War. Also an Iron Age hill fort named Uffington Castle. National Trust. About 5 miles north of Lambourn.
