 From Lambourn you can explore the county of Berkshire,
often referred to as the Royal County of Berkshire as Windsor
Castle lies within its boundaries. Berkshire borders the counties
of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Wiltshire, Hampshire
and Greater London. It is known as one of the Home Counties and
the county town is Reading. Berkshire has been the scene of many
battles throughout history; it has stately homes, abbeys, castles
and museums to visit, while the Berkshire Downs are part of the
North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. |

Horse can been seen for miles away. The figure has remained clear
of turf throughout its long existence, except for being covered
as a precaution, during the Second World War. Also an Iron Age
