Kendal
- Travel by train - Kendal has a train
station just a few minutes north of the town at Oxenholme, north
of Lancaster. Trains leave the west coast mainline at Oxenholme
for the branch line service to Kendal and then Windermere. A
series of private narrow-gauge and steam train lines operate

Kendal -
Travel by road - Kendal is about 5 miles
west of Junction 37, and 7 miles north of junction 36 of the
M6 Motorway. The M6 Motorway travels north - south and connects
to the M1 at Rugby then on to Carlisle. The M6 Toll is north
of Walsall and Sutton Coldfield and bypasses the M6 the areas
around Birmingham and Wolverhampton. Kendal is about 50 miles from
Carlisle
and 180 miles from Rugby. |
