from our licensed residents' bar, having tea on our sun-terrace
or in the gardens the view will never cease to amaze.

- We have worked hard on our gardens
over the last few years. All or efforts have not gone to waste
as we have now one Shanklin in Bloom for the second year running.
- We encourage our guests to walk
around and share the gardens with us - we like to talk about
the plants too! The garden is wheelchair friendly. Even on a
rainy day the gardens can still be admired from our sun lounge.

- In the evening watch the beauty
of the garden unfold, as the dusk appears and the garden is delicately
floodlit, gloriously enhancing its natural beauty.

- Local attractions include two
theatres and scenic walks over the Downs and along the cliff
path. The wooded Chine leads down to the sea and a safe sandy
Blue Flag beach, ideal for sunbathing, swimming and watersports.

- The town centre is just a short
walk offering a range of cafes, restaurants and individually
owned shops while the thatched cottages of Shanklin Old Village
offer the visitor a range of unique gift shops.

- To the south of the Chine are
the picturesque Rylstone Gardens.
