Dedham Vale and Flatford - Constable Country.
Flatford Mill is on the River Stour close to the Suffolk-Essex
border. There is a tiny 16th century thatched cottage (Bridge
Cottage) beside the river, now owned by the National Trust. Famous
location for John Constable's idyllic pastoral paintings. About 10 miles south west of Ipswich. |
